Pyramid ring

October 21, 2011

The ring I was making for my friend is ready now but I haven’t given it her yet…

Last year I attended a seminar in which they taught me how to forge metal as well as to use pieces of it to construct jewelry. That’s how I came to love these techniques and built up my own little jewelry workshop. 🙂 Every year, our teacher in this seminar, Cathrine, organizes an exhibition consisting of her students’ creations! So, I got my favorite pieces that I made (pyramid ring among them :P) and gave them for the show tomorrow.

This little pyramid is made of copper sheet. I designed the three sides on the straight metal surface and then cut the holes that I drew on each side. Afterwards, I bended the sides so as to form the 3d solid…that was the difficult part 😛

I think I’m overall satisfied with the final result. What do you think?
